It’s 06:00 on a Sunday morning and I’m awake! Why? Because Mendi had to get up early to drive her boss to Birmingham where she is working for Northfield Farm at the BBC Good Food Event at the NEC. I’m got up with her and I definitely intend to get some more sleep.

Friday
To Plagiarise Mr Edwin Starr:
Work, Huh, What is it good for? Absolutely Nothing!
I found out that I won’t be getting a pay rise this year because, although my work is generally above average I was off sick too much and did not contribute enough to the team to merit a pay rise – oh joy!. My boss’ idea of good motivation was to then load me up with an unreasonable number of taskings to complete before Christmas – hey ho.

I escaped from work and rushed home to spend the rest of the evening doing loads of chores and waiting for Mendi to come home from the NEC. I was a very busy boy and was grubby and tired by the time she got home at 21:00 – Just call me Cinderella.

Saturday
Our friends from San Francisco visited us yesterday. They were staying in London and came up for the day on the train. It was great to see them again and to see how their autistic boys – Michael and Stephen are growing and developing. Things seem a lot better and we were able to go out to Lincoln for the day. Unfortunately, the Christmas market is next weekend, however, we did do a fair bit of shopping (Alexi ransacked Games Workshop!) and we all went round the beautiful cathedral and Ivan found the Lincolnshire Imp!

We got back home to a lovely Carbonade of Beef that had been in the slow oven of the Rayburn all day and was yummy :@) We scoffed that and I took our friends to the station before pooping in to see how Pixie was getting on with her packing.

The Week Ahead
Sunday:
Chores, Scout church parade for the boys and helping Pixie to move
Monday:
Work in the monring and then to Alexi’s school for THE MEETING with the Deputy Head and Alexi’s history teacher
Tuesday:
Back to France in the Afternoon for the rest of the week
Saturday and Sunday:
Working with Mendi at the BBC Good Food Fair at Earl’s Court – come and see us!

Off back to bed now – see y’all later xxx

Well almost. I've just spent the last hour or so listening to events in Ambridge and giving mortal combat to the ironing pile. SOme 36 items later it has been reduced to a mere shade of its former dominance and the 2 shirts that are still wriggling in their can suffer in near isolation until I can find some hangers

I am all Roe-ent-ar all-powerful lord of the ironing beast!
