Norway Photos

Here are the photos from our recent trip to Norway. Sorry if the quality is none too brilliant, but we only had our camera phones to use.

Our Day at the Beach

The sunsets were beautiful...

But it never really got dark

However, the Glo-cat of wierdness was there to light the way:

Somewhere along the way we went to a wedding.
The bride and groom:

My cousin Peter as toastmaster:

We met family too. Mendi and my cousin Erik

And Finally 1! Someone made and **** of himself

And Finally 2! In Norway you have to be nuts to be Poly!

Yes that is Ivan and his older brother, Alexi is the boy crouched down catching crabs from the dock.

The part of Norway we went to is not the most picturesque. We certainly want to visit the fjords at some point in the future, but for now our next big holiday will be to North Amercia next Summer. We're hoping to come for a month or so. We plan to spend a week ou so with my family in Windsor, Ontario and then travel across to visit Yellowstone. Everything else is subject to ideas, timings and finance. We may head over to the North West as we have a good friend whom we've not seen for ages in Seattle

That is a great plan. Ontario is one of the only Provinces I haven't been to. Haven't been to Yellowstone either.
The Northwest is gorgeous, Seattle rocks and YOU HAVE TO go to the San Juan Islands. Vancouver Island (the city of Victoria) is the large Canadian one. Lopas and Orcas are 2 of many Isles that are in the States, it is so pretty there. You can bypass the Northern Coast line as it Mountainous and has boulders & rocks and almost no sand at all. For sand on the coastline you have to get to Southern Washington or into Oregon. If/When you do get to Seattle I'll have a visit with you guys if you want.

>>boulders & rocks
Those are proper beaches as far as I'm concerned - thye snorkelling is far more interesting than off sloping sand beaches :@)

True and all the critters in the tide pools on shore under the rocks. You don't get that on a sandy beach.

But, my butt likes to sit on sand not boulders. And the beaches on the Pacific don't, I repeat, don't have sand fleas. The East Coast beaches on the Atlantic do. And that bugs me. Ha.
