It's senility I tell you!

I think I'm losing it unless I already lost it years ago and didn't notice.

I've spent most of today wondering what day of the week it is. I must have worked out that it is Wednesday about 4 times and have even confirmed it with someone. I'm not the only one having troubles; it seems that [profile] the_mendicant and [personal profile] adelheid are also having temporal confusion. Could it be the changes to British Summer Time that's thrown our circadian rythems all out of whack? Is anyone else having problems?

I constantly have to remember what day it is...sad I tell you!

Perhaps we should abandon the idea of days - its not working ;@)

*laughs*
I've considered that thought unfortunately the rest of the world seems to be rather hung up on that and time too.

It's all overrated I tell you ;@)

So long as we don't abandon the idea of daze ... no idea where I'd be then!

Well you are an old codge, so it's to be expected.

Yesterday was the day after Chumday, so surely it must be Thursday today ???

Huh? *wibble*

Another 'senior moment'?

I'm not surprised that [personal profile] the is thrown by BST, he lives in Seatle!

It's what day and you are who?

I never know what day it is which I put down to the fact that I've done shift work since I was 18, but it could just be that I'm rubbish! The patients ask us occasionally what day it is and you hear us all going "ummm.....it's Wednesday, I think - what do you think?"

[identity profile] drrob.livejournal.com 2006-03-29 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm doing fine with what day it is. My main problem is I've got people trying to convince me that I have a meeting on Saturday that I don't have in my diary. Nice except that I have a nasty feeling they may be right and I'll not truly believe there is a morning meeting on the 1st of April until I see it.

I'm perpetually confused - except for Christmas, when the loot is a dead givaway!
*insert gratuitous Christmas Stocking reference of your choice*

Yes, "daylight-saving time," as they call it over here, rots the brain. Accident rates (roadway and industrial) soar for two weeks after the annual springtime disruption of the calendar in both the U.S. and the U.K.; higher brain functioning may be impaired for longer.

This is your world; this is your world on jet-lag. Any questions?

ZZZZZZZ
Guess who was awake for most of the night
Keep me away from machinery and sharp objects today!
ZZZZZZ

Yikes!

*scampers to hide pointy things*

Our turn comes next week; this Sunday will be our switch from Standard Time to Daylight-Saving Time (so EST to EDST for the Eastern seaboard) ... and probably the lightest-attended day at church all year, for those that convene on Sunday morning.

Hope you're getting some rest now .. and if not, please do! A nice oatmeal cookie and glass of milk make a nice sendoff, biochemically speaking.
