The Good. The ...oh, you know the rest...

The Good
A lot of good this week. The highlight of which was heading into Birmingham on Thursday to meet my Chum to be her kept man! I traveled down on the train and did a spot of shopping before heading to the NIA. There I masqueraded as a small vet for a glass or two of champagne before being whisked away to the hotel and thence to a sushi bar for All the sushi in the world!TM :@D My Chum was terribly disappointed when the waiter insisted on removing her ever increasing stack of plates. A photograph had been planned of her magnificant erection!

More good stuff this weekend. Mostly spent enjoying the wonderful, if unseasonable warm weather. Beer was consumed and meat was waved gently in the direction of the BBQ. Far too much spodding has been done. Even more good is to follow as the boys and I will be driving into Birmingham to collect Chum and do a fair bit of goth and fanboy shopping.

The Bad
Not much bad this week - However, see below. Although, I was a bit of a prat on Friday morning and managed to leave my man-bag on New Street station. I realised it pretty much as soon as my train had left Birmingham and called British Transport Police and admitted I was a prat. They were really good and have found it and passed it on to Left Luggage. Guess where I'm going later today?

The Ugly
I wasn't sure where to put this. I've settled on ugly. Earlier this year I had a bout of flu which I seemed to take forever to get over. For much of this year I've been suffering from repeated aches and pains and I seem to take much longer to recover from any injuries. About a month ago I went to see my Doc about it and he took blood tests. They've shown that one of my liver functions is abnormal, but also an enzyme that shows when muscle tissue is being broken down is very high. I've been told to keep taking painkillers and return for more blood tests in 2 weeks. Meanwhile, I'm worrying about it. D'oh.

On that note, I'm going to lie in the sun and let the warmth ease my aches - I think it may be old age.
