Christmas Eve

whotheheckamiWell, for some reason I've woken really early this morning. I suppose I'm trying to get ahead of Ivan, because I know he'll be awake really, really early tomorrow morning - he is so excited about Christmas.
Mendi's Party
Bad colds for all of us and more than a few no shows meant that this was a more sober affair than some of our more recent parties. However, this didn't mean that we didn't enjoy ourselves and a very social time was had by all. Mendi looked lovely in the dress she bought this Summer to out-do the bride at a wedding and the addition of her first ever fairy wings set it off to a tee. It was great to seedougs and even better that he could stay over and walk Magie with Pixie and I and go to church with us on Sunday. Hopefully, daemongirl and I have sent him off with enough hugs and kisses to pass onto scarlatti
All work and no play...
I've hardly seen Mendi because she has been working so hard at Northfield Farm. Typically she's been starting at 09:00 and not coming home until after 21:00. The work's gone well and I've helped where I can by taking food up for her and the rest of the crew. She even had to work over the weekend and on her birthday - Boo to werk!
Christmas is Hard Work
I've not been idle whilst Mendi has been at work. I've had plenty to do. The remnants of my cold have been slow to clear, but that has not stopped me from doing a lot of the work to get us ready for Christmas. The boys, Pixie and Bob have all helped to and I think we're nearly ready. I've still got a few presents to pack and a long list of food prep to do today - busy, busy, busy
