Life in Tudno Towers
Jul. 13th, 2003 07:52 amIts been a fairly hectic few days on the bedroom front here at Tudno Towers, but I've not really been up to any Basil Fawtly impressions. Although I did rise to a "Don't mention the Swedish!" to my NNN.
She was the first of our visitors and arrived with us late on Wednesday evening. and her had been getting to know each other on MSN and so on Thursday they got to meet in the flesh. They immediately hit it off with other and Pixie and I just watched on in amusement as we inleashed their combined force onto the streets of Melton Mowbray. Their boi-radar was soon switched to active mode and they disappeared, giggling into the distance.
Pixie and I were glad for a few minutes together because Mendi, Pixie and I are having to be totally vanilla in front of NNN because NNN would tell her Mum and my sister-in-law is the biggest gossip in the family!
They soon came back and we all had such a good afternon together that it seemed the sensible thing to do was to make up beds for Daemongirl and NNN in the sitting room so that they could watch videos and gossip as late as they liked. Whilst the "olds" retired. Frustratingly, we did manage to be good.
Mendi had to work on Friday and the boys were in school so that left the rest of us to get NNN ready to head up to North Wales for her to spend some time with my Mam before she goes in for her operation on Sunday. Getting NNN ready to go was no hassle for me as we left Daemongirl and her giggling together and trying on makeup! They called it packing ;@)
Before too long we were ready to head in to Oakham where we left the girls to complete their bi search patterns for an hour or so. NNN was duly shoveled onto the train and I return home (via Pixie's for a sushi lunch) for a sleep.
Firday evening saw the Village It's A Knockout Tournament (A regular feature of our annual Feast Week) I didn't feel up t meeting people and so I let Mendi have that dubious pleasure whilst I stayed at home and waited for our next guests to arrive.
They were smaller this time. Mendi's 6 year-old God-daughter Selene and her 7 1/2 year old brother Piper. Their parents were off to Ascot for the weekend and so we were being surrogates. he good news was that they went straight to sleep and didn't wake until after 7am! This allowed Mendi and I to have a lovely evening and night together.
