Following on from yesterday’s post, I now have a pile of blackberries and a bottle of vodka sitting in front of me. I’m soooo tempted to just scoff the blackberries and drink the vodka, but I’m going to listen to [livejournal.com profile] yonmei and make some bramble vodka. Luckily, this will involve drinking the vodka that the berries displace :@D However, it has got me thinking about what other flavoured vodkas I could make; I’m currently thinking about having a go at:

Raspberry vodka – with late raspberries scrumped from our neighbour’s garden
Plum vodka – if [personal profile] sneerpout doesn’t eat the UK’s entire crop ;@P
Chilli vodka – with some of the wonderful dried chillies that [profile] daemongirl brought back from the states for me
Sloe gin – if I can suffer the scratches from picking them and find a reliable recipe

Over to you now:
1. What other flavoured alcohols could I make?
2. Where can I buy a lot of cheap vodka?

Regular readers will know that I’m currently in dispute with my manager at ST Bits about private use of the Internet. Well, I’ve just made him squirm with embarrassment.

I was heading down to our coffee shop and I stopped to ask if there was anything that he wanted. He looked up from the papers he was reading, tried to cover them and sort of mumbled out a “No!” He wasn’t quick enough with his paper shuffling because I noticed that he’d been looking at information about new mountain bikes; information that he’d printed from the web! I suppose he could have brought the information in from home, but then his home printer would have to need its toner changing like our office machine. I was so tempted to ask him if he what he was doing was related to his objectives. However, for once, I held my tongue and have noted the incident for future reference.
