The Weekend Starts Here....

...at 5:45 on Saturday morning? I don't have a clue why I'm awake and hammering keys this early. Especially as we didn't get to bed until after midnight and I missed my pipe, cocoa and slippers in front of the fire ;@) This was because Mendi and I had supper with the delectable Pixie. She'd made and cooked a superb quiche which we ate with salad and Daemongirl had made a mind-boggibgly yummy chocolate cake (swoons). Rob was there as well and the 5 of us just chatted, chilled and smoked (well one of us only passive smoked).

We got home to find the house as quiet as the grave (muhahaha) and only a few of the 20 or so bags of popcorn we'd made left by the front door - so I guess we did have a reasonable cull of trick or treaters - I wonder if I'll find any dismembered ones in the freezer?

I've got quite a busy weekend ahead of me - the house will wake up soon and I'll take my Mum out to the shops. My Mum and Dad are staying with us this week so that Mendi can work whist Ivan is having his half-term. We're also planning to swim off on a half-term family outing to see Finding Nemo and then Mendi and I have to bugger off!

We're heading out to a party in Cambridge with Pixie, Bob and Rob. I think we're stopping over because on Sunday morning Mendi and I have to get up at 7am and head down to Covent Garden to toss burgers at the Food Fair.

After that we'll be rushing home to give me time to pack a bag and get some sleep before driving over to France where I'll spend a good chunk of next week working in Beauvais
