One for the drivers...
Oct. 28th, 2005 03:47 pmI thought I'd better post this because you might not have seen this on
flickgc's Journal.
the_mendicant was very concerned when she looked at the site. She is on 9 penalty points and needs to be very careful.
Apparently, every time you pass a camera and your car is travelling even a mile or so over the speed limit, it is registered and placed on the database. You are only sent a ticket if you are way over, OR (and here is the bad news...) if you receive "over 20 near misses"
You can now check how many you have against your car's registration number here - http://www.e-database.co.uk
If it says Not Available or No Service then just refresh the page, and you will be asked for a password but, as a first time user, just click on the 'need a password' link and you'll be given one in a pop-up window.
Use this to enter the site. In the top right hand corner there is a "click-on" window, which shows the pictures taken by the cameras!
