Mother's Day

It is Mother's Day today? What have you done for your Mum, Mam or Mother?

I sent my Mam an arrangement of plants that she can plant out in her garden when they've finished flowering for her. Her garden has taken a bit of a battering this Winter and needs some more plants. I also made sure that Alexi and Ivan had done stuff for their Mother. Finally, I've been a soppy bugger and wished the ewews, sows and cows a Happy Mother's Day as I've been checking on them this morning ;@)

...and don't forget your [personal profile] sarah_mum too!

Sad news

Some weeks ago [profile] the_mendicant told you that she was bottle-feeding a lamb at the farm> Sadly I have to tell you that Eloise died a few minutes ago. Kate and I had noticed that she'd not been thriving for a few days and she really seemed to slip today. We bought her to our house and tried everything we could think of to help her; all to no avail. At least she died in the warm with others to look after her.

However, life does goes on... and the three other bottle-reared lambs are thriving.
