Today so far

Is it only 10am?

I was up early and at the farm by 7:20. I rushed around the stock throwing food left, right and centre! Everything got fed and checked - just a bit quicker than normal. I then headed back to the house to find Ivan boted and spurred and raring to go. We drove to his school to be utterly underwhelmed by his teacher's reaction to our request fr 2 days' absence. She just said, "Fine!" SHe's happy with his work, progress and previous attendance and understood that having the starring role in the film was important. I knew having the drama school as his form teacher would be useful!

I'm no taking a few moments after driving him to the loaction. I'll be heading back to the farm soon for a day of furniture moving and cattle-tagging. Life is certainly not dull!

And the weekend wasn't dull either. Sarah and I had a lovely time with each other and the boys despite not doing anything adventurous. Yesterday rounded things off with some viewings of some interesting houses, chores at the farm and in Whissendine, and a windy walk around the hill fort at Borrough. A lovely day :@)

Off to London

Just to let you know that I'll be spending this Saturday running Northfield Farm's stall at Broadway Market in Hackney. Why not come along and sample my meat! Or even just purchase some lamb, pork or beef ;@)

You may also get to meet my lovely Chum the delightful sarah_mum.

Is there anything happening in town on Friday night? I could come down for the evening if I can find a bed for myself and a Transit van full of meat!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch the three bottle-reared lambs are now spending the day in the paddock. They have to be carried there and back which is a particularly onerous task when aforementioned lamb does not want to be carried. Me think they are going to learn to follow me or be persuaded to wear baling twine collars and leads.
