Help! (minor Christmas related emergency)

The traditional Whotheheckami Christmas Day includes a sumptuous brunch which includes amongst other delights, American Pancakes and Maple Syrup. Unfortunately, earlier this some over-diligent cupboard tidier has thrown my packet of american pancake mix away and there are none in the local shops. I've had a quick look for a recipe online and have been thwarted by the plethora that are out there. Can any of you recommend a recipe for the Best Pancakes Evah?!

I'm off out now to collect the Turkey from a local farmer. Thankfully this will not involve any killing, drawing or plucking - all that's being done for me.

It's certainly Christmas...

I'm afraind I'm having a bit of a problem. Mam, the boys and I are just about to head up to Sarah's to spend the evening with her parents and her. However, I think I may have to use extreme measure to shift the boys from in front of the TV. The Great Escape has just started and they've never seen it all. I think I will be the nasty Germen and shout "Appel!" ;@)
