Catching Jobs and Other Stuff

whotheheckamiIt appears that I made quite an impression when I met our External Auditors when I hijacked a floundering project planning workshop in France earlier this year. They have just asked for me to work with them on a detailed project review in Singapore. Yippee! However, (there's always a "however" isn't there?) I need to be there on the Monday morning of the weekend that Mendi is spending on a girlie trip to Prague and I was going to have a weekend of slobbing and RPGs at home with Alexi and Ivan. gardenpixie can stay over with Daemongirl and care our Menagerie - ain't she wonderful? *Hugs and Kisses to Pixie*
Unfortunately, I can't take Mendi with me, but I will be taking sets of measurements with the hope of getting a business suit made for her. All she has to do is come up with a pattern and she will also get to choose the material because I'll send her piccies from the tailors. Wish me luck.
I'll also be spending a weekend in Singapore and so I’d welcome any suggestions of what I should see, buy, do, eat, drink, catch whilst I’m there – over to you…
In other News…
Who goes where at Christmas seems to be sorted. We’ll be staying at home and welcoming my parents from sometime before Christmas until Boxing Day and then Mendi’s parents will join us from then until the New Year. I won’t be going to my brother’s Silver Wedding Meal as we don’t appear to have been invited (only my parents, the best man and bridesmaids will be going) as our boys would not be able to go to the hotel they’re going to use.
Question: Shall I be petty and not invite my brother to my 40th Birthday Party/Rave/Caileigh/Craic/Thingy?
Alexi, Maggie and I’ve also been invited to spend a couple of days on a Shoot over the Christmas Period. I won’t be a Gun, but will be able to crash through the undergrowth and generally make lots of noise as a beater. I should also get bucket loads of pheasants to take home and use to make scrummy stuff. Breast of Pheasant in an apple, cream and onion sauce anyone? One would hope it’s a bit better than KFC!
Oh I mentioned my 40th Birthday Party/Rave/Caileigh/Craic/Thingy didn’t I. I’m in the process of agreeing to share my birthday party with The Gorgeous Geoff and so we’re almost certain to be having a Ceileigh/Thumpy noise party on a Saturday evening/night/morning sometime in April. More news and dates for your diaries as it happens.
