She's on her way

I've just spoken to [livejournal.com profile] the_mendicant and she's just left home to come to Haarlem and she sounded so happy!

I'm all extra-specially bouncy now

I'm looking forward to this weekend

Wheeee!

I don't blame you! Don't do anything I wouldn't do! (but then, that doesn't leave a lot *snigger*)

There's part of wants to say that we should have an LJ outing to Hamster-jam along the lines of [livejournal.com profile] kissycat1000's Alton Towers event.

[BTW has she set a date for that?]

Not AFAIK, hopefully her childcare arrangements are more certain now. But that does sound like a very cool idea. Perhaps she'd be able to organise childcare for her kids for a long weekend away ;)

Now all she has to do is actually get a passport *grin*

i do a good line in child care but not for weekends ;-)

Hah yes, but [livejournal.com profile] kissycat1000's children are difficult. The 10 year old daughter is difficult, whereas the 4 year old son is severely autistic, to the point that both kids cannot be cared for by someone outside the family. Even I am never left with the children for more than half an hour usually.

Good friends of ours from California have two profoundly autistic boys aged 7 and 5. They have been able to travel with them and we have seen them 3 times. I've worked hard to establish a rapport with them to the extent that during their last visit I had the youngest wanting to sleep with Mendi and I.

It would be great to meet J and also for S to meet Alexi and Ivan - it would be fascinating to see which of the 3 of them came out on top! ;@)

We really must stop talking about meeting and set some plans.

*Hugs*

It's in that range, certainly. If it's half as good craic as Bruges/Brugge, I'll be a happy bunny.
