Death By Chlorine

Bore da mi cariads!
Guess what? I've got a lovely hangover and I'am in completely the wrong place for it. I should be having a quiet time, relaxing, re-hydrating and possibly taking Maggie for a walk in the hills. Instead, I am "enjoying" the "delights" of Rhyl's Suncentre. Here I can be subjected to continual high-decibel shrieking, inhale neat chlorine and sweat in saturated "tropical" air - JOY!!! So why am I here? Because the boys adore the surf pool, wave pool, slides etc. etc. The things a Dad will do!
My lunch date yesterday
I had a really good time yesterday. True to form I arrived early and waited at the bar for C to arrive. As I waited I glanced at each person as they came in asking myself, "Is that C?" I wondered how she could have changed over 22 years. Would I recognise her? Any doubts I had evaporated when she did arrive. My heart skipped a beat as I realised that she had hardly changed and was just as beautiful as I had remembered her from all those years ago. This was the first love of my life; the girl who I had fallen in love with on my first day in secondary school; the girl who dominated my thoughts for 7 years; and the girl who I never could work up the courage to ask for a date. Looking at C and talking to her was the closest thing to time-travel I think I will ever experience. Cascades of memories burst open in my mind as we talked. An all-too-short hour flashed by as we began to catch up on what we'd been doing. For every question that was answered a dozen more were on our lips. We parted knowing that it won't be 22 years before we next meet.
Yay we're leaving the Suncentre after only 3 hours! But we're now going shopping in Rhyl :@(
I went to the Best Beach I know yesterday - and I'm not going to tell you where it is! So nurr!
Decided to walk back from my mate's house last night - about 4 miles and was able to stop off at Ffynon Sadwrn (Saturday or Saturn's Well) I had wash and washed all my charms and rings and said a little prayer to Anyone who was about - just something I've been doing there for years - I wonder if anyone else does it?
