In true a gerryandandysmithparty* I would like people to estimate which of the emrgency services will be called first to the party.
Gerry and Andy Smith were brothers who lived in a small semi next to a petrol station in Richmond back when I was in the Air FOrce at Bracknell and Mendi was doing her nursing training in Kingston-upon-Thames. Their house was part wreck, part diy project and part garage (The were in the process of grafting a 5 litre Chevy engine into a Triumph Stag) There parties were memorable for numerous events such as:
Connecting a car blower fan to the base of a BBQ whilst throwing half a gallon of petrol on to it - Fire Brigade (remember the petrol station)
A drunken dance-athon to Dexy's Midnight Runners' Too-rye-ay whist glasses and bottle were thrown on the floor. The mob eventually collapsed into a heap that shed blood - Ambulance
Gate-crashed by a bunch of travellers (without booze)(was that youchaoshedgerow?) one of whom tried to move in on Gerry's girlfriend was that you chaoshedgerow?) A satisfying ruck duly ensued during which Gerry's girlfriend was pushed to the floor and I just had to shield her with my body (all done in the best possible taste of course) - Police
