Glad to hear your mother's surgery went well. If they think they got everything, then she'll probably be fine. (If they do decide chemo or some such is in order, it's okay to wait for a second opinion; the studies I've read indicate there's not much of a rush to get started. Odd, but that's what they've found.)
My mother had her ascending colon removed last year, and was back at work, full-time, in less than a month. She's doing well. Hope yours has a speedy recovery.
