I was reluctant to comment in the hope that someone else would ask but I see they haven't. From what I remembered of my French from GCSE all those years ago that sentence didn't make a lot of sense. Fortunately Babelfish was there to rescue me and reassure me that in fact it doesn't make sense and I'm not (entirely) mad.
