Today's the day

That I go for my Angiogram. To say the least I am bloody nervous, but the_mendicant is coming along with me and I may even take a video tape to capture the procedure for posterity ;@). I've got to be there by midday and I've been told that I should be home by late afternoon. Wish me luck

Don't worry about me - that's my job. The screw-up rate is very low (less than 1%) and I've got one of the best cardiac surgeons in the country driving the wires. The way he described the process puts me in mind of driving a wire-guided missile towards its target (swwwwwwisssssh BOOM!!!)

Things'll seem quiet when I get back because NNN and daemongirl are heading to London this afternoon to stay with friends and then have a day of retail therapy on Saturday before daemongirl heads to Texas on Sunday and NNN comes back on the train to Rutland.

It's all go!

I'm planning a quiet Saturday in preparation for the arrival of squaddie who is stopping off with us en-route to Edinburgh and the military tattoo. We'll probably end up on a pub-bounce in our village (you can't call it a pub crawl when there're only two pubs and you go between each one for the evening!)

Sunday should see us going to a friend's BBQ - more of that later, because the friend is intrinsically tied up in the fuss Pixie has been having from her ex-Fiddler.
