I appear to have given my phone an impromptu high diving lesson into a toilet (thankfully a clean one) Might I suggest that you use email or landline to contact me this evening whilst my phone is recovering on a nice warm radiator.
Hahahahaha. THank you for making me smile. At least it was your own, my mum once dropped the contents of her handbag in a toilet on holiday including my camera and dads phone.
musingsofallama managed the same thing but into a full, unflushed toilet. The insurance company insisted that he send in the phone, even after repeated and detailed descriptions of its state. Imagine the poor little mail room employee who had to open that package...
It seems fine now - I disected the phone as much as I could - battery, sim, memmory card, case, keypad - and dried them all seperately. I was quite pleased to find that it all went back together OK and worked fine
I've done that - very embarassing! Luckily sherlock_42 has little drying packs like you get in certain packaging so he shoved everything separately in a bag with those and it was all better in no time :) Still works now too, so yours should be fine - the trick seems to to take it all apart as quickly as possible.
Oh poor you :( We slept well until Isaac came in at 6;45 and got into the bed with us - he doesn't exactly know how to lie still and be quiet, in the end I was trying not to laugh as he lay there fidgetting and singing to himself. At least he let us lie there until the alarm went off - then he was saying "Why aren't you getting up?" the second I'd switched it off!
Heh, I managed to do that one morning when I was so sleepy I managed to tangle my feet in my dressing gown cord trip, and basically throw the phone frmo the hallway, through the open bathroom door, flying perfectly into the toilet with a comedy 'ploop' sound. Would have been a perfect three point shot in basketball!
After a few days drying out the phone is still working now, two years later. ;)
I've had the same phone for nearly three years! It's small, has excellent battery life, has a calendar I can synch with our web calendar, has a colour scree, a hands free, can make calls and can text.
I need no more than this so I see no reason to change! When it dies, then I'll get a new one, till then, I'm quite happy. :)
(it's not like I need a camera phone, is it? *grin*)
