This little present greeted me one morning when I went downstairs for breakfast. The rest of the unfortunate rodent is missing, presumed eaten!

Would you care to tell me how you found that? You weren't looking for dried-out pussy were you?

There are lots of ways of describing [livejournal.com profile] claireadams, but "dried-out pussy" isn't one of them.

our cat usually finishes her mice all up. she leaves the wings, and sometimes the feet on birds, though.

I usually find them by treading on them. Flynn leaves the livers, spines, and sometimes heads RIGHT where I put my foot to carpet on leaving bed in the morning.

sometimes Tish eats her mice too fast and vomits them back up. i usually find the "sick with eyes" by stepping in it.

Oh, man. That's priceless. Can we borrow your cat, please? We don't have mice nesting in the house, but one passes through ever other week and it's bloody hard work mouse-proofing the place just on the off-chance.

You need a jack russel puppy- the grown ups kill rats so the puppies with start on mice. That's right isn't it?

Best one Spookie managed was half a mouse in kitchen, half a mouse in living room connected by a couple of foot of mousie intestines. Don't think the carpet ever recovered from the amount of cleaning fluid I used on that occasion.

Of course, Max's kills are much easier dealt with.
This is Max with Beanie Bear, his favourite.

[livejournal.com profile] aoakley would probably agree with me on this point - but I think it's important people see the 'gruesome' side of nature too.
