I’ve just noticed that I haven’t post an update for a while; although [profile] the_mendicant has covered some of what has been happening. However, I’d better add my bits; so here goes…

Friday
The highlight (if you can call it that) of my working day was a Planning Meeting at work with my boss. I found out that I’m now likely to start travelling again in November with a week in Singapore followed by a few weeks in France. This should give me plenty of time to get ready to travel and give the best opportunity to do some Christmas shopping for toys and booze.

I got home from work fashionably early and helped Mendi to get ready to zoom down to London with her beloved boss. Pixie and Daemongirl came round to keep me company and I cooked a kedgeree with lovely smoked haddock and loads of fresh prawns and boiled egg – yummy scrummy in my tummy! I like it when Mendi goes away because I can happily cook fish without her complaining about the smell :@)

Saturday
I kicked the boys out of bed and away from the TV in good time to take Daemongirl to school and to get the boys’ hair cut. That, together with a few more chores swallowed up the morning and I was pooped when I got back to Chez Who. Pixie left to do stuff at her place and to get a rest and I tried to get some sleep. Sadly, two noisy sprogs prevented this and so I got up and had a good tidy-up so that everything would be tidy when Mendi came home.

I decided to cook up a big pot of chilli for us to pick at and for freezing and spent a pleasant hours or so chopping and preparing. It was good that I had made so much food because we had TGT and Sandra drop by for supper along with [personal profile] dougs (Waves at [personal profile] dougs) who seemed to be happy to take us as he found us :@) A lot of people were more than a little bit tired and so we were thankful when the evening ended at the sensible time of 11pm-ish

Sunday
There was no peace for the wicked as I forced myself to get up and get ready to take Alexi and 6 friends to Warhammer World for his birthday treat. I wished I’d packed ear-plugs as they shouted there way up to Nottingham and proceeded to have a very noisy but good time. Everyone got to play at least two full games of Warhammer or Warhammer 40,000 and I was able to watch. We ate at Bugman’s Dwarf Bar and they happily chomped through Space Marine Specials and Wood-elf Wonders (no elf in it though :@(). I got them home by 16:30 and collapsed into bed for a few moments. I was pretty numb for the rest of the evening and just vegged in front of the TV with Kanga and my family. Another great weekend

Monday
Someone summed up how I feel about work at the moment as I arrived at our offices on Monday morning. A BYT (bright young thing <-- who must work in marketing ;@)) gave such a mournful sigh as she swiped her access card through the time clock that I felt I had to say something to her. I suggested that she’d had too tiring a weekend and she replied by saying that weekends were just not long enough to pack in everything she wanted to do. It was all too easy to agree with her.
