But before I go on I’d like to recount a few more images from the party:
the_mendicant in her unfeasibly short skirt – I think this set more than a few pulses racing didn’t it
the_magician? :@D
The look on the faces of some friends from the village when they realised that this wasn’t the normal sort of party that is held in the village – they took to it like ducks to water!
A snog with Betty-Anne being interrupted by what seemed like half the party on their way to the loo!
Seeing
daemongirl with an ever-changing array of glasses in her hand – it all went downhill when she was introduced to the Dooleys! It was soon after that, that she fell off the sofa!
But most of all
Mendi, for rushing around throughout the evening to make the party perfect for me and hardly having time to stop (she missed a lot of snogs because of that!) – Thank you my love
Life begins at forty, but a feeling of undeath begins at 06:30 in the morning when the ‘Wrong Person’ decides he wants to cuddle up to someone! The situation soon calmed down and I found myself giggling along with my friends.
kissycat1000 seems to think I was giving her a head massage, but I’d only just got my fingers trapped in her verdant curls! We all dozed off for a little bit longer, but the kitchen was calling to me and I stumbled out of bed and fought my way through the general detritus into the kitchen. Boy was it a mess, and this was despite Mendi working all evening to feed stuff into the dishwasher. (I feel that a moment’s prayer is in order for our dishwasher and for the inventor of the dishwasher)
I had managed to establish a reasonable beachhead of order in the kitchen before other ambulatory corpses in search of caffeine, sugar and analgesics joined me. Mendi and I were well prepared and were able to cope with most requests. All this activity left us feeling exhausted and we collapsed onto the airbeds in a lovely cuddle heap – the only way to cope with a hangover. This lovely time came to an end when Jen (sigh), Chrissy (sigh) and friends who had been staying at Kanga’s returned and the party restarted. Top of the list of things to do was packing the airbeds away – this resulted in some Hot Girl on Girl Action as
kissycat1000 and
florence90 wriggled and giggled their way across 4 deflating airbeds. I’m not sure if they were aware how large and attentive an audience they attracted ;@) I should have taken time to cool off after all that, but instead I marshalled by troops and we all pulled together in an increasingly hot kitchen to produce brunch for 15.
This included:
Scrambling 18 eggs with cream (damn I forgot the chives)
The very best bacon and sausagse from Mendi’s work
Grilled organic tomatoes
Baked beans with garlic and Afghani Garlic Leaf
American pancakes made by Alexi and Kanga
Loads of OJ and bread
Some people decided that it was time to go after they had full stomachs for their journey’s home, but others decided that the bright sunshine was irresistible and another cuddle pile developed on the lawn. This one was fuelled by lashings of Black Velvet (and I took
sneerpout’s virginity!!!). At some point
daemongirl took it upon herself to insert foam into all of Tobes’ orifices (orifici?) None of us are sure why she did it, least of all Tobes who didn’t seem to notice. Once the sun had left the garden the last few guest left and Mendi and I continued with Operation Clear-up. However, two guests seemed to have forgotten to leave and we had a pleasant evening watching trashy TV with
squaddie and
sneerpout.
I suppose you’d call that the end of the party, because Monday came and I found myself suffering from a case of the post-party blues, but with a great set of memories…roll on 50!
