A Stimulating Night Out

Last night
the_mendicant decided to take a break from our courses and get a bit of Kulture. We took the boys to see Kaos Theatre's production of Richard III at the Phoenix in Leicester. It was a superb performance and such an energetic interpretation of the text. I particularly liked the portrayal of Richard's advisors as smarmy spin-doctor typse and the decision to play Richmond in a Blair-esque vein was inspired. The performance did have flaws and the decision to only use 4 actors lead to some confusion. However, the chance to enjoy quality live theatre with my favourite people was wonderful.
The boys certainly enjoyed themselves and seemed to get a lot from, what is not one of Shakespeare's easiest plays to follow. We're now looking for other plays and other cultural events to expose the boys to. What would you suggest?
A Reminder that this Poll is still available for you to indicate which of my filtered posts you would like to be able to see.
